Lompoc Wins its First Single Signature Contracting Authority Bid

On June 3rd, 1999, Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization (LVCHO) won its first bid as a single signature contracting authority for the local provider network. The Federal Bureau of Prisons named the LVCHO as the contractor for providing health and medical management services to the 4000 inmates of its maximum security facility in Lompoc. The significance of the contract is the validation of the LVCHO as the local managed care negotiator for Lompoc providers. The LVCHO members include: The Mission Valley IPA, Lompoc Healthcare District Hospital, Lompoc Chamber of Commerce, the Lompoc Valley Healthcare Council, Lompoc Public Health and Mental Health County Services.
