G. Language translation offered
Table 9.10 provides information on language services other than English that are
available to patients within physician offices. Language interpretation for Spanish
speaking patients is offered by 68 percent of the primary care physicians and 70 percent
of the specialists. Other language interpretation available by physicians or their staff
was South East Asian (Hmong and Lao) of which 21 percent of the primary care physicians
offered. Ten percent of primary care and 30 percent of specialists provided no language
service other than English.
