F. AccessibilityTable 9.9 provides data on the time between when a patient calls for an appointment and the time when the appointment is scheduled. For primary care physicians the waiting time for new patients was 11 days and existing patients 9.5 days. For specialists, the wait time for new patients was 6.8 days and 4.5 days for established patients. A significant finding is that there were 4 primary care providers who had delays of 3 to 8 weeks for an appointment for new and existing patients.
Tables 9.3, 9.4, and 9.5 above indicate provider accessibility based upon average hours per week and average days per week in the office for primary and specialty providers. Previous | Table of Contents | Forward © CIRHM | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
