Ira Moscovice is a Professor in the Division of Health Services Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. He has written extensively on the use of health services research to improve health policy decision making in State government and rural health delivery systems. He is the director of the Rural Health Research Center at the University of Minnesota funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. One of the primary areas of interest of the Research Center is the development and implementation of networks and managed care in rural environments. In 1992 he was the first recipient of the National Rural Health Associations Distinguished Researcher Award. Ira Moscovice received his doctorate in operations research from Yale University.
